Thank you for visiting Phoebe Berridge Photography. I am a Bedfordshire baby photographer based in Ickwell. I have been specializing in baby photography for over 8 years now.
I put together this my baby’s first photoshoot collection about 4 years ago now. As there can be such a pressure to get your baby photographed within the first few weeks of their new little life’s.
However, this isn’t always achievable for everyone and therefore I wanted to offer something for that in-between stage for your baby. Bringing to you my baby’s first photoshoot session which is ideal for babies 5 weeks plus up to 12 months.
I love being able to capture babies at all ages. Each baby has its own character and personality. These sessions are totally adaptable to your baby’s age group. Whether they are just learning to roll, sitting, crawling or walking. The focus of the session is to capture your baby in their full cheeky character.
The page below will give you all the information you need to know about a my baby’s first photoshoot with me, if you have any questions please feel free to get in touch.
During those early stages of parenthood, it is entirely normal to forget the things we planned to book before little one came along. Please don’t panic there is always time to photograph your new bundle of joy no matter their age.

FAQs
What is the best age for baby photos?
This is totally a personal choice as to at what age you want to capture and photograph your baby. Firstly your baby can be photographed at any age, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and so on. But the type/ style of images you’ll get from your session totally depend on your baby’s age group. If you want those sleepy/curly poses you want a newborn shoot 2-4/6 weeks. If you want them when they are becoming more alert but aren’t yet on the move i’d recommend 3-5 months. If you want them sitting/ starting to crawl/ walk then 6-12 months. It’s your personal choice.
Can siblings join in?
Of course they can. All my baby’s first photoshoot session begin with 2-3 set ups of baby. However I will always ask at the end of the session if you would like some sibling/ family images.
Do I need to bring outfits with me?
For younger babies 5 weeks to 4 months I tend to use wraps, fabrics and some outfits. I also have a great selection of baby outfits for 6-12 months. But you are also welcome to bring a few outfits of your own if you wish. Just make sure the colours go with the colour palette you have selected.
What happens if they don’t cooperate?
I think as a parent this is a question so many people worry about. Please don’t worry, I expect little ones to take a little time to warm up for their session. Bring their favourite snacks or toys can be of a great help. Sometimes we pop a song or show on my phone to play above my head. But if all else fails please don’t panic we will reschedule your session so you can return again. I’ve never had this issue but the option is here if we really really require it. Lastly patience’s really is key!
